Member of the COAPE Association of Pet Behaviourists and Trainers

The COAPE Association of Pet Behaviourists and Trainers (CAPBT) is the largest specifically qualified association for pet behavourists and trainers in the UK.

Membership is only by qualification, with members having had to pass COAPE’s independently NOCN accredited diploma in animal behaviour and training. All CAPBT members work under a strict code of practice. This includes the assurance that coercive or punitive techniques and equipment are never used during training or in behavioural modification.

Being a CAPBT member means that I have to maintain my competence and knowledge through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses offered by COAPE and other organisations. It also means I have access to a wealth of support and expertise via a network of over 200 qualified CAPBT members.

Pet owners are therefore guaranteed quality when selecting a CAPBT member to help resolve behaviour problems, or to train a dog or a puppy.
